Fibromyalgia and treatment is a question I am all too familiar with.

I was diagnosed (by an MD familiar with fibro), with this disorder, as well as chronic fatigue, over 12 years ago.

I no longer have either condition.

Doctors and drugs had nothing to do with my recovery. Research, research and more research, detox and more detox (including emotional cleansing), changing my whole life and refusing to give up are the basis of my return to vibrant health.

I want you to know that it IS possible to regain joy in life.

Back when I was suffering and searching for information on fibromyalgia and treatment options, I created a survey to gather information on the issue. Questions about participants' self-care program including diet, exercise, supplements, detoxification; what drugs they were taking, what treatments helped and which didn't; exposure to toxins including dental amalgams; emotional issues and life stresses - were asked.

I got only a little over 116 participants and very little support from any prominent fibro groups (reasons discussed below). I did not have a large enough sample for statistical significance. However, I DID learn something about fibromyalgia and treatment.

What did I find out…?

Which sufferers found a way to get their joy in life back?

Answers: The ones who were proactive about natural self-care, who took the least drugs and exhibited strength of will in the face of a debilitating condition, refusing to consider it a life sentence.

One of the most important qualities of those who beat back their disease is refusal to consider themselves victims, refusing to wallow in self-pity and willingness to get out of denial and grow emotionally.

This quality showed up both in their physical self-care efforts AND in their relationships; those who recovered had personal relationships with both family and friends that were constructive and supportive. They were less likely to blame others for their problems.

Answer: Thanks for your question.

Fibromyalgia is a catch-all term for body pain resulting from any number and combination of issues. I was officially diagnosed with it by an MD; another MD said the term fibromyalgia (and chronic fatigue also) is NOT a real disease, simply a 'garbage pail' for seemingly unexplainable symptoms.

Whole organizations with discussion forums and big websites have sprung up around 'fibromyalgia;' most of them money-makers that refer readers to pharmaceuticals while making themselves look like support sites.

So-called 'fibromyalgia' can be related to any combination of, or all, of the following: toxic metals, environmental toxins, diet, chronic infections like Lyme (a complex issue in itself), unresolved emotional issues, severe stress of any kind both chronic and acute, toxicity from pharmaceuticals or street drugs, accidents, severe trauma, electromagnetic field exposure, etc.

Because there are so many possible interrelationships with various causes and kinds of conditions, it is not possible to just say, 'Take this, this and this' and promise a result.

That being said, we ALL need to detoxify. A general suggestion for protocol would be Chlorella and 3 varieties of detox suppositories: Glytamins, Xeneplex and Medicardium.

Colon cleansing and coffee enemas are fabulous and don't cost much once you have your equipment.
