IMPORTANT: Currently, I do not recommend Cod Liver Oil for dogs because there is no product good enough to qualify in my estimation.

The LEAST processed cod-liver oil I know of is on THIS PAGE. However, because of the necessary rosemary extract used to preserve its extraordinary freshness, I would NOT use it for dogs.

I do not any longer recommend the product below. It contains a combination of 'fermented' cod liver oil AND butter oil from the milk of cows fed on new spring grass.

Why do I not recommend it? Because it is inferior to the brand above.

1 - It is not fresh.

2 - It is not fermented because you cannot ferment fats - advertising is misleading. The oil is allowed to spoil. While rotten fish and its oils are traditional foods for some tribes, why take a chance?

3 - It does not taste good.

4 - It has been beneficial to some, made others mildly sick. This is not good enough for me.
