Who is Ellen Landauer?

Ellen Landauer is the owner of Peak Health Now.

These days, it is hard to know if the person whose face smiles out at you from the computer screen even exists.

Many 'people' depicted on the web, who purport to confide in you and share valuable information, are FABRICATED! Made up! Not real people, but presented as such! Sad and a little scary, isn't it!

I am a real person just like you, who aspires to wholeness, aliveness and knowing the truth.

One thing you'll learn if you spend any time around me is that while I value information, research, and love to learn from the mentors I am fortunate to know, I need to see, feel and touch something to believe.

Virtually everything I talk about or recommend, I have personally experienced.

The foundation of my life is a deep connection with nature, the real source of our health...

Who is Ellen Landauer?
An organic gardener and
lover of Nature...

I've been an organic garlic grower for over 30 years.

The beauties shown above are Chesnok Red garlic, an old heirloom variety. Chesnok Red is a favorite, with its rich, complex flavor.

Who is Ellen Landauer?
A woman who loves flowers and bees!

PHOTO ABOVE: These English Bluebells were given to me by the elderly New England woman from whom I used to buy fresh chicken and duck eggs. The bees LOVE the Bluebells - hummingbirds love them, too!

This year I cut the flower heads off the Bluebells when they were going to seed and we had another full month of purple beauty and food for the bees.

PHOTO ABOVE: Bumblebees are our native honey bees. They tend to be fairly even-tempered (not like paper wasps)!!

One cool, rainy day I was picking marigolds for a salad. Upon beginning to pluck one from the stem got a little sting. It was a bumblebee, using the flower as an umbrella - he only gave me a nip to let me know he was there!

My latest gardening endeavor is lily breeding experiments.

Here, I am applying the pollen from the stamens (male part) of an orange Rocket City daylily to the pistil (female part) of an heirloom variety known as Hyperion.

Below is the first flower resulting from this breeding.

A woman with a lifelong
love of dogs...

PHOTO ABOVE: Every day in the winter, I loved snowshoeing in the woods with Ena, my first East German Shepherd.

Ena was fed, raised and trained in accordance with nature and hardly ever had health problems. I am so thankful for the many years we enjoyed together.

She lived to be 15 1/2.  Until 48 hrs before her life came to an end, Ena could walk and her eyes were clear and bright.

Despite the best holistic measures at the vet (major autohemotherapy with ozone and ultraviolet blood irradiation) and all the best home care, it finally became clear that  her body functions were shutting down. I called a local vet to come to my home. My dear Ena died in my arms, looking into my eyes in total trust.

No matter how long, our beloved dog's life is always too short. How do you thank a creature who gave their whole life to you?
